The metal claw arm that Edaw shot at the brute barely missed and the brute grabbed the chains that made up the grappling hook arm and yanked. Edaw went flying toward the brute...

Punky ran out of the giant hole and disappeared, chittering angrily at the thought of Erron Stairin.

Aldion ran quickly out of the unstable inn, avoiding a large chunk of the upper floor that fell into the common room. He grabbed his tonfas and slammed the ends into a zombies brain. He turned just in time to dive out of the way of a Brute's swing, turning into dust and settling into the soil. The brute, confused, turned back towards the flesh and blood beings before it.

Aldion rematerialized and slashed at the beasts right leg, attempting to sever it...

The brute threw Edaw and he crashed through a wall and found himself outside under the night sky flying. He smashed into another building and fell to the road.

Aldion went for a leg strike against a brute but before he could follow through with it the brute grabbed his mechanical hand and ripped it off. He then smacked Aldion in the face with his own mechanical hand sending Aldion flying out of the building and crashing into the middle of the street.

Lopex ran as fast as he could from the park, to the inn. The brutes were destroying the place. He watched as Erron was blasted through a wall. Then came a man with claw arms, and then Aldion.

So far though...

"James!" Lopex shouted, "You sure as hell better not be dead!"

Lopex switched from his ax to his spear. He hefted it like a javelin, saw the brute with the damaged head, and threw his spear, aiming for the head specifically. (-1 for specific aim to brute's head)

The spear flew from Lopex's hand and stabbed directly through the side of the head of the brute and protruded out the other side.

The brute screamed in agony and began flailing his arms about smashing everything near and even smacking the other brute sending it flying....

James took aim with his rifle and fired again directly at the flailing brute's head....

(-1 for a Called Shot)

James shot rang out and splattered the brute's brains out of the back of it's head, killing the brute.

"THAT'S FER NOT LETTIN' ME GET ME WHISKEY FIRST!"

Lopex was very pleased with his spear. It not only hit the target, it caused the other brute to get knocked around.

While the brute was on the ground, Lopex grabbed his axe, stood over the monster's head, and like he was chopping a log... (-1 Called Shot to the skull)

Lopex missed with his ax and the brute was on his feet, palming Lopex's head and lifting him in the air. The beast's hand was easily as big as Lopex's head, and he soon began squeezing.

Lopex squirmed out of the brutes grip.

Erron ran to the front gate where the large hole in the wall was where horde zombies were pouring through. He spotted a wagon full of dry hay, with a horse.

He grabbed the horse's reins and began trying to pull it and the wagon to the hole.

The horse wouldn't budge.

"SON OF A BITCH! MOVE DAMMIT!" he yelled at the horse.

He ran around to the back of the horse and smacked it on the ass as hard as he could with one of his khopesh blades.

The horse kicked up in the air and took off at a gallop.

"WAIT NO!" Erron yelled.

He hated to do it, but he was left with little choice. Erron jumped. He didn't land on the horse, but he did catch it's reigns.

"Sorry boy," he said, driving the khopesh blade through the side of the head of the horse.

The beast crashed to the ground and Erron went tumbling. Luckily the wagon was no in front of the hole in the wall.

"LIGHT THAT HAY ON FIRE!" he yelled at a knight.

The knight didn't hesitate.

Given that it was always night time in Nerin Toth, torches and sconces were commonplace in cities. The knight grabbed a nearby one and thrust it into the hay.

It burst into flames quickly and a large fireball blocked the hole.

"Will that stop them?" the knight asked.

"Doubtful, but it may slow them down at least. Get this hole sealed some how. I'll deal with the brutes," he finished and took off running back toward The Quarters.

Edaw laid in the street a moment, dazed at being thrown around.

He got himself back on his feet. He looked at the brutes. One was dead, the other was trying to crush a guy with an ax.

Edaw steadied himself, and went back into the battle. This time, he used one claw to clamp himself to a street pole. No more swinging for him (or so he hoped...). With his other arm, he shot his claw, this time, trying to trip the brute. (called shot to the leg. Edaw has 1 level in Bladestrength for +1 melee)
